Preventive Care

Preventive care is composed of many different aspects of care including nutrition counseling, screenings, immunizations and chronic condition management. IU Health Primary Care physicians focus on preventive care to help patients avoid complications and complex treatments by maintaining good health and identifying conditions early.

Preventive care includes:

  • Health screenings (e.g. high blood pressure or cancers)
  • Vaccinations
  • Routine physical exams to monitor health and assess future risk of developing conditions
  • Education about proper nutrition and exercise
  • Management of existing conditions to increase quality of life and reduce risk of future complications
  • Preventive care services are covered by all insurance plans, meaning they come at little or no cost to patients.

IU Health Primary Care physicians use their expertise to help you live a healthy lifestyle. Our focus is on providing personalized care to anticipate your needs, manage your existing conditions and offer education that will best assist you. You will receive high quality care from our physicians as your needs change to ensure you can enjoy your life to the fullest. Our physicians are part of the states only nationally ranked health system, dedicated to using evidence-based care to improve your health.
