For Researchers on Proton Therapy
Indiana University Health Proton Therapy Center physics staff members have a combined experience of more than 70 years in the field of radiation therapy physics. Led by some of the dominant figures in the field of medical physics, the dynamic IU Health Proton Therapy Center physics team has produced an impressive list of publications in high-impact journals and abstract presentations in national and international meetings.
Our research in proton therapy covers a broad spectrum of current interests, including clinical and fundamental research. These may be organized into the following categories:
- Proton therapy
- Intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) and proton therapy
- Adaptive image-guided techniques in radiotherapy
IU Health Proton Therapy staff members are involved with independent and collaborative research with a number of partner organizations. More than 30 abstracts and poster presentations were accepted at national and international meetings in both 2010 and 2009.
