Riley Children's Foundation founded Riley Hospital for Children in 1924 to honor James Whitcomb Riley, a nationally renowned poet known for his love of children. Since raising the funds to build the first hospital building, Riley Children's Foundation has steadfastly remained committed to improving the health and well-being of children through philanthropic leadership in support of Riley Hospital for Children and its research programs.
