Research at the Center
Our autism center is one of only two academic and research programs that specializes autism in the state of Indiana. We actively treat over 600 children. With such extensive experience, we can treat your child effectively and help you manage his or her condition.
The Riley Christian Sarkine Autism Treatment Center at IU Health is one of only three sites in the country involved in an autism project funded by the National Institute of Mental Health. This project focuses on medication treatment and parental training to help children with autism.
The center recently received additional federal funding, which enabled us to build our new facility and expand clinical services and research efforts. As a result, we are able to treat more children, making excellent psychiatric treatment available to more Indiana families.
