Developmental Pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health is one of the largest programs of its kind in the country. Providing professional care and support for all children with developmental disabilities is our goal. Our team of highly qualified specialists determines the needs of each child and develops unique and total care plans.
We offer comprehensive evaluation and treatment for infants and children who have or are at high risk for developmental and feeding problems. Our purpose is to enhance the coordination of services for children and families with special needs. We address the needs of our patients through inpatient services, consultation services and a variety of clinical programs.
In addition to physicians and nurses, our team is composed of many other specialists including:
- Social workers
- Child psychologists
- Occupational therapists
- Physical therapists
- Speech therapists
Together, we provide a complete course of care, individualized for each child and family, with the goal of helping these children develop to their full potential. Through various programs, our team diagnoses, evaluates and treats infants, children, and adolescents with developmental disorders. We also educate and train parents and other caregivers to address the various issues that may arise when caring for a child with developmental delays.
Our team serves patients in downtown Indianapolis at Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health. We also provide services at Riley Children’s Specialists at Meridian Crossing in Carmel, and through outreach clinics in South Bend.
