Conducting basic science and clinical research ensures that Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health stays at the front lines of medicine, allowing us to not only provide the highest quality of care today, but to define the standards of care for tomorrow. Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is a national leader in research and home to the Herman B. Wells Center for Pediatric Research.
The Strategic Research Initiative (SRI) has strengthened the partnership between IUSM and Indiana University Health and bolstered their research efforts. Earlier this year, IUSM and IU Health announced a joint investment of $150 million, over five years, in this new partnership to enhance their joint capabilities in fundamental scientific investigation, translational research and clinical trials that will result in innovative treatments for disease.
