All Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) Department of Pediatric educational programs are located at a Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health hospital campus- either Riley at IU Health or Riley at IU Health North. Throughout Riley at IU Health’s history, our facilities have been at the forefront, and many times the first, to perform one of a kind, advanced life-saving procedures. With more than 245,000 inpatient and outpatient pediatric visits a year, Riley at IU Health is Indiana’s only comprehensive children’s hospital offering patient care, state-of-the-art research and medical education.
Riley facilities have all been created and designed with a child’s point of view in mind, and are upheld to ensure our patients and their families feel comfortable and at ease while receiving medical treatment. Our facilities are equipped with the newest and safest technology, ensuring you are learning and training with the most advanced equipment possible.
Some of our advanced facility features and technologies include:
- The state’s most comprehensive neonatal units housing our internationally ranked and the state’s only ECMO (extra-corporeal membrane oxygenation) support unit
- The Simulation Center at Fairbanks Hall uses life-like baby, child and adult mannequins that respond like real patients. Our students are able to immerse themselves in computer-simulated surgery and react to complicated emergency room dramas.
- The world’s largest pediatric sleep disorders center
- The Simon Family Tower equipped with a state-of-the-art operating room, cardiac catheterization and cancer center
