Donations

The Edward A. Block Family Library exists thanks to donations from individuals, schools, organizations and businesses. Donations of items and money help provide our patients with Accelerated Reader Books so they can stay current with their school work while they are in the hospital, provide entertainment and distraction with books, board games, Wii games, music and movies. The library also has a section of books that can help patients and families cope with the emotional aspects of an illness.

If you would like to help the library please see our Donation Guidelines and  Wish List. If you wish to make a monetary donation specifically for the library please indicate your wish in writing or by indicating it on your check in the memo section.

Delivery of Donations

If you have a large number of items to donate please notify the library a few days before you plan to make delivery so we can be sure that we have someone that can help you with your donation. Our phone number is 317.944.1149 or you may email us at rilibrary@iuhealth.org.

Donations may be delivered to our Information Desks in the Riley Outpatient Center (ROC) or the Atrium. The atrium is open evenings and weekends.

Donors should not expect to deliver their donations personally to the patients due to privacy and safety of our patients. All donated material becomes the property of the Edward A. Block Family Library and are added to the collection, given away or otherwise discarded as the library chooses.
