Information Desk Guide

The Information Desk in the main lobby is open 24 hours a day and provides many services, including:

  • Directions to any location within the hospital, on campus, or in Indianapolis.

  • Maps, hospital directories, parking information, unit visiting hours, shuttle and city bus schedules and a list of hotels/motels.

  • Lost and Found -- Articles found in public areas around Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health are turned in to the Information Desk. If you lose something while you are at the hospital, check with the Information Desk. Items that are left behind on patient units are turned in to the Patient Representative. If you think you lost an article on your child's unit, call 317.278.3144 to find out if it has been turned in to the Patient Representative.

  • Notary Service - A Notary Public is on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

  • Patient Condition Report - Family and friends can call 317.962.2000 for information about your child's condition and phone number. The staff respects your right to privacy and will not release a diagnosis or other medical information about your child. Your child's condition will be reported as satisfactory, stable, serious, or critical. The condition of your child is determined by your child's doctor. If you do not want your child's condition to be released, please let your child's nurse know or call the Admitting Department at 317.274.7793. Only parents or guardians of patients can call a unit nurse directly to get a condition report. Ask your child's nurse how and when you should call the unit for these reports.

  • TTY/TDDs - Public use TTY/TTDs are available at the Information Desk.
