It is our priority to serve your special needs. We provide TTYs (telecommunication devices for the deaf), sign and language interpreters and other services to help you during your hospital stay. Please contact your nurse or care provider immediately if you:
- Do not speak English or have difficulty speaking English
- Are visually impaired
- Are deaf or hearing impaired
- Have other special needs
We have hearing impaired phone sets available on each unit, and you can get a closed caption decoder for the television of your child's room. Reading radios are also available on televisions for the visually impaired.
Call 317.962.5500 to be connected to a special operator for the following needs:
- To request a TTY
- To reach a language interpreter and/or ASL
If you, or your child, need a foreign language or American Sign Language interpreter or other services, contact a social worker at 317.962.5500. There is no charge for this service. A social worker or nurse can order this service for you.
