Advanced Practice Providers
Dr. Cox received his medical degree from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, IA. He completed an internship at Firelands Community Hospital in Sandusky, OH followed by a Family Practice residency at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. Dr. Cox works as a family medicine provider, but is residency trained in obstetrics.
Board certified Internal Medicine
Dr. Wells graduated from the Indiana University School of Medicine and is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Wells completed her residency at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. She is currently teaching postgraduate and continuing education courses. She has been a physician since 1976.
Advanced Practice Providers
Karmen is a family nurse practitioner who earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Nursing from Indiana State University. She has been a registered nurse, focusing in Oncology, since 2009 caring for patients and serving in nursing leadership roles at IU Health Bloomington Hospital and the Residence at McCormick’s Creek.
Tamara completed her Master’s Degree in Nursing at Ball State University and is certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. In addition to Family Practice, she specializes in Diabetes Management and is a Certified Diabetes Educator.

Q: Who has been or is your greatest influence in life?
My grandma; She is kind and caring, strong and hardworking, the rock to our family, and has always been respected by anyone she meets!
Q: As a medical provider, what is one healthy practice you live by that you would recommend to others?
Exercise routinely and listen to your body when it is trying to tell you something is not right.
Q: What has been your most memorable medical moment?
My most memorable medical moments are anytime a patient or life in one way or another; these moments stick with you forever and
are a continuous reminder of why I choose this profession!
