Jeffrey P. Allerton, MD, FACP

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology, Hospice and Palliative Medicine

Dr. Allerton completed a double major in biology and chemistry at The College of Saint Rose before earning his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine. He served in the United States Air Force for six years, attaining the rank of Lt. Colonel. Dr. Allerton is fellowship trained in hematology and oncology. He specializes in hematology and medical oncology, coagulation medicine, transfusion medicine and apheresis, hospice and palliative medicine and stem cell transplantation.

Danielle Doyle, MD

Board certified in Hematology, Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology

Sees patients in Bloomington and Martinsville.

Dr. Doyle is fellowship-trained in hematology and oncology, Dr. Doyle earned her medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degree in biology. An alumna of DePauw University, Dr. Doyle is a member of the American Society of Oncology and the Indiana State Medical Association.  She is board certified in Medical Oncology, Hematology, and Internal Medicine.

Dr. Doyle treats patients at the IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians Oncology clinic in Bloomington and at IU Health Morgan in Martinsville.  She treats a variety of cancers, and her research has focused on a number of topics including neurological effects of cancer treatment as well as research into new, targeted therapies for breast cancer. Dr. Doyle says, "As a mother of three and a devoted Christian, my life is guided by three principles: God, family and medicine."

Karuna Koneru, MD

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology

Sees patients in Bedford and Bloomington.

Dr. Koneru received her medical degree from Osmania Medical College in India. She then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center in Brooklyn. Following this, Dr. Koneru went through fellowship training in hematology and oncology at the University of Maryland and also completed a rotation in bone marrow transplantation at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Dr. Koneru has practiced in Bloomington since 1997 and feels right at home in Indiana, coming from a family of farmers in India. She believes in “love all, serve all.”


Rajesh Shah, MD

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology

Sees patients in Bedford and Bloomington.

Dr. Shah earned his medical degree from the Medical College, Baroda in India. He then completed a residency in Internal Medicine at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Il and a fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. Dr. Shah has practiced in southern Indiana for more than 10 years.
