Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians Women's Health, formerly Aegis Women's Healthcare, was created to give women of Southern Indiana access to the highest quality health care. We are here to help with your questions and your health concerns. We offer quality service with Board Certified Physicians and Nurse Practitioners.

We are dedicated to providing our patients with comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care using the latest technology available. We provide a wide range of specialized services that include preventative healthcare, comprehensive maternity care, high-risk pregnancy management, ultrasound and bone densitometry testing. Brian Cook, MD

Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Cook received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from Marian College in Indianapolis. In 2004, he received his Medical Degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. Dr. Cook completed his residency in June 2008 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. His professional interests include Urogynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology.

Dr. Cook is originally from Milan, Ind. He is married and has two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and reading.

Andy Stafford, MD

Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology, Internal Medicine

Dr. Stafford received his BA from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind. in 1978, and a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1981. He served his internship and residency in internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He joined the practice in 1987, and see patients at the McIntire Drive office. Dr. Stafford is board certified in Internal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is a member of the Owen Monroe County Medical Society and the America Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. He is a Clinical Assistant of OB/GYN at the Indiana University Medical School. He was chief of Ob/GYN at IU Health Bloomington Hospital as well as Chief of Staff.

Dr. Stafford is from Martinsville, Ind., and is married with three daughters. His hobbies include running, cooking, scuba diving and alpine skiing.
 

Lillette Wood, MD

Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Wood received her B.A. from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Conn. in 1980 and her medical degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 1984. She served her internship and residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Indianapolis. After completing her training, Dr. Wood returned to Bloomington where she has practiced since 1988. She is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a member of the Indiana State Medical Association, the Owen Monroe County Medical Society, and is a Clinical Assistant at the Indiana University School of Medicine. She is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist. She sees patients at the Bloomington location, and also sees patients at the Bedford office.

Dr. Wood, who was born in New Haven, Conn., grew up in Bloomington. She and her husband Dan, who also grew up in Bloomington, have two daughters. Dr. Wood is active in her daughters' school. She and her family enjoy many outdoor activities, including swimming and biking, as well as reading, and gourmet cooking.
 

Robert Wrenn, MD

Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology

Dr. Wrenn is a 1967 graduate of Indiana University, with an AB in Zoology. He attended the Indiana University School of Medicine, which is where he received his Medical Degree. His internship and residency both took place at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. In 1975, he joined with his father-in-law's practice, which subsequently formed the group that became part of Aegis Women's Healthcare. He sees patients at the McIntire Drive office as well as the Bedford location. He is certified with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He belongs to the American Medical Association, the Indiana State Medical Association, and the American Fertility Society. He is a Clinical Assistant of OB/GYN at Indiana University School of Medicine. He is the former president of the Monroe- Owen County Medical Society, and has been section chief of Obstetrics and Gynecologists at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He is a Certified Clinical Densitometrist.

Dr. Wrenn is the middle of three children, born in Momence, Ill. He is the father of three children: David, a realtor; Jennifer, an OB-GYN physician in Columbus Ohio; and Jeremy, a musician and IT Administrator. His wife, Ann, is an active volunteer and support person for her family and medical families. His hobbies include golf, photography, underwater photography, scuba, and woodworking.
 

Billie Zody, MD

Board certified Obstetrics & Gynecology

Since 2003, Dr. Zody has been practicing Obstetrics & Gynecology in Phoenix, Ariz. She desired to return to her home state of Indiana, and recently joined Aegis Women’s Healthcare and Indiana University Health Southern Indiana Physicians in Bloomington. Dr. Zody believes in giving her patients individualized attention and investing in their health and wellbeing.

Dr. Zody received undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry and Chemistry from Clemson University in South Carolina and then earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. She completed a four-year residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Maricopa Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital and Medical Center in Phoenix, Ariz. In 2003, Dr. Zody took a two-week medical mission trip to Nicaragua with a team of gynecologists, during which she performed surgery on patients in need. In 2005, she took part in the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) fellowship to further study minimally invasive surgical techniques. Dr. Zody is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology.


Advanced Practice Providers

Mary Susan Shick, NP

Susan graduated from the Indiana University School of Nursing in 1984. After graduating, Susan continued her education by participating in IU's graduate program while working for the IU Health Center. She began her career as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in 1992 when she joined the practice of Bloomington Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Susan was born in Bloomington and graduated from Bloomington High School South. She enjoys working with women of all ages. She is an avid member on the board for the Bloomington Breast Cancer Awareness Walk. She is also involved in the program called Shaping Up Monroe County which aims to educate and help guide women into ways in which they may successfully lead healthier lifestyles. Susan is happily married and has one son. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, camping, gardening, Jazzercise, Indian Dancing and playing with her dog Shilo. Susan and her family also support the Sycamore Land Trust in Bloomington, a non-for-profit organization that purchases both developed and undeveloped land in and around Monroe County for the purpose of conserving the land for the preservation of native Indiana plant and wildlife.
 

Michele Yarbrough, NP

Michele is a board certified women's health nurse practitioner. She received a master's degree from the Vanderbilt University School of Nursing. She has a special interest in pelvic floor dysfunction and sexual health.Michele sees patients at the Bedford and Bloomington offices.

Melissa Young, NP

Melissa is a board certified women's health nurse practitioner. She received a bachelor's degree in Biology from Indiana University before earning a master's degree in nursing from the Vanderbilt School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse before earning a nurse practitioner certification. 

Before returning to IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians, Melissa held a position at Caring for Women's Health in Indianapolis as a nurse practitioner where she managed health needs for her feamle patients as well as performed in-office proceduresm such as IUD insertions and removals, and endometrial biopsies.
