About IU Health Starke Hospital
Indiana University Health Starke Hospital is committed to improving the health of patients and communities. Our acute care facility—located in Knox, Indiana—provides the residents of Starke County and neighboring communities access to exceptional healthcare and unsurpassed patient experiences. As the only hospital in the county, we have a long history of serving the nearly 40,000 people of our area for the past 60+ years.
Starke Hospital became an IU Health partner in July of 2009. Since the partnership began, our local hospital has added more than 80 new physicians to its Medical Staff with office locations close to home and has invested millions of dollars into new technology to assure the highest level of care to the community.
IU Health Starke Hospital is a proud member of the IU Health system. IU Health is the largest health system in the State of Indiana and the only associated with an academic medical center. In addition, IU Health maintains a unique partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine—one of the nation’s leading medical schools. Through these affiliations, IU Health Starke Hospital brings the highest quality of care and medical knowledge to the residents of Starke County. IU Health Starke Hospital has been led by President Craig Felty since February 2014, and is fortunate to have local leadership at the board level.
In 2011, IU Health Starke Hospital was recognized by the Indiana Rural Health Association for its efforts and achievements toward advocacy in healthcare in the rural Starke County and surrounding communities.
