Linda L. Satkoski, MSA, RN
President/Chief Executive Officer

Mrs. Satkoski was advanced from Vice President, Patient Care Services in June 1996 to Senior Vice President Physician Relations/Patient Care Services in March 2005 to her present position in July 2009. She was Chief Nursing Officer when IU Health La Porte Hospital received Magnet recognition in 2004, the first in Northwest Indiana. She has served La Porte Hospital and its patients for more than thirty-five years, having been a staff nurse, head nurse, nursing supervisor, and a member of the patient care review staff before being named Director of Patient Care Services in 1985. She received her associate degree in Nursing from Purdue University North Central, her bachelors of science degree from the College of St. Francis, and her masters in administration degree from the University of Notre Dame. She is a member of the Northern Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives and the Indiana Association of Nurse Executives. She is Past President of the Northern Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives. Mrs. Satkoski has served on the Board of Directors for the Indiana Organization of Nurse Executives, and on the Board of Directors of Nursing 2000—North Central. Rosie Heise
Vice President of Finance

Mrs. Heise was named Vice President of Finance at IU Health State Hospital in September of 2009. Mrs. Heise was promoted to Vice President of Finance after serving in the position of Controller. Prior to working at IU Health Starke Hospital she served as a financial generalist for Honeywell for five years focusing on operations, cost control, and efficiencies. Mrs. Heise is a graduate of Purdue University and holds a bachelors degree in accounting. Mrs. Heise holds a Certified Public Accountant’s license and is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association. She has been the treasurer for Knox Community Elementary School Parent Teacher Association for three years. She also serves on the Purdue North Central Alumni Association Board and has recently taken the position of Treasurer for Starke United. Mrs. Heise can be reached at 574.772.1101. David Hyatt
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Hyatt joined IU Health La Porte Hospital in 2007 as a Business Development Associate after previously working for a consulting firm based out of Indianapolis. During his time in Business Development he worked on and led a wide variety of business development initiatives with the Executive Team and physicians. In September of 2009 Mr. Hyatt was promoted to Vice President of Operations for IU Health Starke Hospital. In January of 2011, in addition to his duties as Vice President of Operations for IU Health Starke Hospital, Mr. Hyatt was promoted to the position of Vice President of Strategy and Ambulatory Services for IU Health La Porte Hospital. Mr. Hyatt is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and he also serves as a board member for the Starke County Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Hyatt received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health, and holds a Master’s in Health Administration - both from Indiana University. Mr. Hyatt can be reached at 574.772.1118.
