Surgical Services

The Surgical Services Department at Indiana University Health Starke Hospital provides emergency services to the community in addition to scheduled cases Monday through Friday. The surgery department features a full range of inpatient and outpatient services including general surgical procedures, laparoscopic, endoscopic and arthroscopic surgeries, and a GI suite.

The competent, caring staff performs a variety of surgical procedures using high quality, state-of-the-art equipment. IU Health Starke Hospital also employs one full time anesthesiologist.

The surgical services team works together to provide the patient with the best possible care from admission through and including discharge. Even after the patient goes home, follow-up telephone calls are made to assure patient rights, ethics and satisfaction were maintained throughout the stay. Surgical services staff also verifies the patient's recovery is going smoothly. If problems are identified, appropriate referrals are made quickly and efficiently.
