When you face a medical emergency, Indiana University Health provides experienced and effective treatment, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, with short wait times.
At Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital, experienced emergency physicians are specially trained to respond to medical emergencies. Our nurses are also skilled in emergency nursing care and are trained in advanced cardiac life support. Our qualified team of physicians and nurses provide care with the support of a 24-hour on-site lab, which includes computed tomography (CT) scans and X-ray services. After you go home, our nurses and physicians are available to answer questions about your emergency care and discharge instructions.
If necessary, patients can be transferred to one of our two Level I Trauma Centers equipped to treat the most severe and life-threatening conditions—located at Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital and Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health. Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health is the only pediatric Level I Trauma Center in Indiana and features highly trained teams that specialize in the emergency medical care of infants, children and adolescents.
Through our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, we participate in research and clinical trials that help us improve outcomes for our most critically ill and injured patients.
