Gifts in Action

Because the Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital Foundation's mission is to support Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital, gifts are used to enhance healthcare through our programs and services at the hospital to benefit patients and families in our care. Here are a few examples of donations in action in 2015:

Hilton Hobbs Hospital and Healthcare Endowment

Over the years, the fund has allowed many local individuals, companies and groups to be a part of the future of healthcare in Tipton County through a philanthropic gift. An example of the impact of the endowment are the 2007 projects, which include the update of the chapel at Indiana University Health Tipton Hospital, the funding of a youth volunteerism and life skills educational program developed by the Tipton Hospital Foundation, and financial support of a comprehensive community needs assessment to assist the Tipton County community by identifying current needs, as well as real solutions.

IU Health Tipton Hospital Associates Scholarships

$5,200 in local scholarships were awarded to graduating seniors from Tipton and Tri-Central High Schools to pursue an undergraduate degree in a health related field.

Project Connect

Sixteen high school students went through our career and volunteer development program at the hospital.

Indiana State Police Tourniquets and Training

With a large effort from Methodist Health Foundation, we were able to join forces and donate tourniquets and training to Indiana State Police and Department of Natural Resource Officers to help stabilize patients at accident scenes.
