How We Can Help
Transfer Center Treatment Information
Our transfer center provides services to ensure clear communication and a quick response to traumatic injuries. They provide the following services to patients and referring physicians:
- Cloud. The Cloud is a wireless health records system that allows any IU Health hospital as well as about 76 other hospitals to easily transfer patient histories, status and images to the hospital before patients arrive. This information allows our teams to be in place when patients arrive and deliver the most efficient care possible.
- 24/7 support. Our communication experts in the transfer center are available any hour of the day or night to ease the transition of patients into our hospitals. They collect patient information, notify staff and physicians and send LifeLine transportation when necessary.
- LifeLine transport services. If transportation is not available or faster transportation is required, our LifeLine crews are available throughout the state to transport patients on the ground via Mobile Intensive Care Units or through the air on the LifeLine helicopter. LifeLine crews are specially trained to provide lifesaving treatments while on the go and communicate patient status to physicians waiting in our facilities.
