For Patients

All garages have elevators, stairs and reserved spaces for people with special parking needs. Spaces are van-accessible. Garages are continuously monitored by IUPUI security officers and cameras.

Parking fees are posted at each garage. To reduce parking fees, hospital patients and families may purchase a parking coupon book. Coupon books are available at the gift shops and the parking garage pay booths. If you are unable to pay for parking, talk to your nurse about receiving help through social services.

Patients may be dropped off or picked up at the main entrance or as otherwise directed.

Parking Locations

Indiana University Health University Hospital Patient/Visitor Parking Garage

Located on the northeast corner of the hospital next to the IU Health University Hospital main entrance on University Blvd. This garage serves all outpatients, inpatients and hospital visitors.

Vermont Street Garage

Located on Vermont St., which is one street south of Michigan St. This garage serves all outpatients, inpatients and hospital visitors.

Outdoor and Oversized Van Parking Areas

The IU School of Dentistry lot located on the southwest corner of Michigan Str.and Barnhill Dr. has ticket parking available.

Long-term and Social Work Parking Programs

Low-income families with a patient staying overnight in the hospital may contact the social services department for possible parking assistance.

Once the patient has been in the hospital for one week, a long-term monthly pass may be purchased in the hospital gift shop for a nominal fee. This allows you to park in an outdoor IUPUI "E" lot located near IU Health University Hospital for the remainder of the calendar month.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available at the Barnhill Dr. entrance and the main IU Health University Hospital entrance on University Blvd. for a nominal fee.
