Radiology & Imaging

At Indiana University Health, our radiologists (physicians who specialize in diagnosing and treating diseases and injuries using medical imaging techniques) use advanced technologies, such as X-rays, computed tomography (CT) scans, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET) to diagnose and treat your medical condition.

We provide safe care using the lowest doses of radiation possible while maintaining the most accurate results. Our physicians have advanced training and education in interpreting the images—resulting in the most accurate diagnoses. We also use leading edge imaging technology in our operating rooms, allowing your surgeon to perform minimally invasive procedures. These minimally invasive procedures have fewer risks than open surgeries and help you recover faster with less pain.

Through our partnership with the Indiana University School of Medicine, we conduct research involving new imaging techniques, leading to more accurate diagnoses and less-invasive treatments.

Indiana University Health University Hospital is at the forefront of imaging technology. We are often among the first in the nation to utilize the newest advancements in radiology equipment and technology.

In addition, IU Health University Hospital heavily invests in physicians, radiology technologists and support staff to help maximize the patient experience.
