If you call IU Health to schedule an appointment or visit an IU Health facility, we will ask if you have travelled outside of the country in the past 21 days. We are asking this question to help protect our patients and team members, given the recent cases of Ebola Virus Disease (EVD) that have emerged elsewhere in the United States. This is just one of the many steps that we are taking to protect our patients, their families, our healthcare providers and the community at large. Thank you for trusting us with your care.
To prevent the spread of respiratory viral activity and for the safety of our young patients, IU Health West Hospital is currently limiting visitors to the Pediatrics unit and Special Care Nursery.
We are not allowing anyone under the age of 18 to visit the units identified above.
To best protect their health, while children are still allowed in the building and waiting rooms, we recommend parents/guardians do NOT bring children with them when visiting.
We are not allowing visitors (on the units identified above) who have had the following symptoms within the last seven (7) days:
- Runny Nose
- Body Aches
- Other Signs of Infection
