West Walking Club

The strength it takes ... to get fit.

The Walking Club at Indiana University Health West Hospital is a program for patients that consists of scheduled walks guided by IU Health West leaders and caregivers several times each week.

Prevention is the Best Cure

Regular exercise reduces the risk of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other diseases. You can benefit from exercising 30 minutes a day, most days of the week. You may experience more energy, improved muscle tone, lowered risk of many diseases and a better overall sense of well being.

Benefits of the Walking Club:

  • Indoor and outdoor trails
  • Free pedometer
  • Free parking
  • Support from staff
  • Support of fellow walkers
  • Monthly educational web postings
  • Opportunity to join the IU Health West team for community events such as Relay for Life, Race for the Cure and the B&O Express Walk

Lace Up Your Sneakers!

Lace up your sneakers, grab a bottle of water and start walking! The IU Health West Hospital Walking Club meets at scheduled times throughout the week. You are also welcome to use our trails at any time that is convenient for you.

Please note that the West Walking Club is not currently hosting organized walking times.

In the spring, meeting times can be found posted on our main Events Calendar, as well as on a regularly updated message available at 317.217.3821.
