Indiana University Health West Hospital understands and appreciates that the love, support and presence of family and loved ones is one of the most important parts of the healing process. That's precisely why IU Health West Hospital does not have set visiting hours.

Security

IU Health West Hospital is a large building and the security of our patients, visitors and caregivers is of the utmost importance. The door by our emergency department is the only door open 24 hours a day. The main entrance locks at or around 9 pm each evening. If you need assistance coming and going from the building in the evening, please contact the security department at 317.217.3900.

Smoke-Free Campus

For the health and well-being of our patients, visitors and caregivers, IU Health West Hospital is a non-smoking campus, which means no smoking is allowed in the building or on the grounds.
