Separate parking areas and entrances service specific areas of interest - such as the Women's Center and the Cancer Center - making travel within the hospital that much easier for patients, visitors and physicians, and serving to further enhance the soothing IU Health West Hospital experience.

All patients requiring hospitalization have a private room, enhancing the patient's relationship with their care team, and providing privacy for a dignified recovery and family comfort.

IU Health West Hospital also provides the most advanced health care information technology - enabling technology - that is designed to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the relationships between patients and caregivers.

With seamless linkages and coordinated services with IU Health's downtown Indianapolis hospitals, the transfers of patients requiring highly specialized tertiary care are made as easy as possible. A unified records system means, among other things, that patients only have to register once.

Separate physician dining and respite space help caregivers care for themselves, be it through a quiet cup of coffee or a quick workout in the fitness center.

An elevated physician walkway from the Professional Office Center to the inpatient care centers allow quick, uninterrupted travel between the two when necessary. Both facilities are easily accessible to one another on several levels of the hospital.
