Ball North Tower Banner

The Ball Memorial North Tower Construction is a $104 million project that will add 25 private rooms to each floor and two new operating suites and introduce eight remodeled operating suites. Originally starting in 2014, the project will be complete in 2022.

Additional unique features of the project include:

  • A bariatric patient room, which can accommodate a patient weighing up to 1,100 pounds
  • Two negative air flow rooms for respiratory isolation patients on several floors
  • Masimo® vital sign monitors – leading edge technology that documents real-time vital signs and automatically uploads to patient electronic charts, providing information accessibility to all nurses and physicians caring for the patient
  • A Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) that will have 21 beds for babies throughout 12 private rooms and 6 private bays. Three of the rooms will have two beds set up for twins, and 4 rooms will have parent bathroom and shower facilities. All private rooms will have a designated family area with sofas, recliners, cabinetry and televisions that will allow families to spend more time with their loved ones comfortably.
  • Pediatrics and Women’s Services (PAWS), that will have 9 large private rooms. Two rooms will share a common door for families who have more than one child in care.
