Steven West serves as President of IU Health Blackford Hospital, a 16-bed certified Critical Access Hospital. After receiving his undergraduate degree from Miami University and his graduate degree from The Ohio State University, Mr. West began his healthcare administration career in 1978. He began his work with IU Health Blackford (formerly Blackford County Hospital) in 1998. In January 2005, the Hospital moved into its new building. During his tenure at IU Health Blackford, Mr. West helped oversee Blackford County Hospital’s integration into Ball Memorial Hospital/Cardinal Health System and later, Clarian Health/Indiana University Health System. Mr. West and his wife live in Hartford City, and spend as much time as possible visiting their children and grandchild.
Rod Stevens is the Chief Nursing Officer for Blackford Hospital and Associate Chief Nursing Officer for IU Health’s East Central Region. Stevens has more than 35 years of progressive leadership experience throughout the continuum of healthcare, including nursing administration, comprehensive outpatient cancer services, emergency medical services and multi-specialty physician settings. Stevens earned a master’s degree in management and leadership from Western Governors University, a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Ball State University and a paramedic degree from Davenport College. Stevens and his wife live in Albany and enjoy spending as much time as possible with their granddaughter.
Tobey Jones began his career in healthcare serving as a volunteer EMT with Blackford County EMS in 1981. In August of 1983 Jones graduated from the Muncie School of Practical Nursing at Ball Memorial Hospital and in 1991 he earned his associates in nursing from Indiana University Kokomo, followed by his bachelors in nursing from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2006. Stevens spent his entire nursing career serving various areas at Ball and Blackford Hospitals. Currently, he serves as the Director of Nursing Practice at Indiana University Health Blackford Hospital. Stevens and his wife, Kathi, reside in Hartford City and enjoy spending time with family and friends, serving in their church and watching IU basketball.
John Crosbie is the director of support services at IU Health Blackford Hospital. He has been with Blackford hospital since 1999, all in his current capacity. Crosbie received his bachelor’s in special education from Ball State University in 1976 and has been in healthcare since 1990. Crosbie and his wife, Kathy, have five children, ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In his free time, Crosbie enjoys attending his grandchildren’s events, reading, auto racing, making trips to the casino and watching sports of all kinds.
