PGY1

Weekend FM call (throughout the year)

  • Saturday/Sunday day & Saturday night shifts
  • Phone triage, admit OB/Peds/Intern FM pts

Night Float Rotation (5 weeks/year)

  • Consists of shifts from 5 p.m. – 5 a.m. six days per week
  • Phone triage, admit OB/Peds/Intern FM pts

Wards Medicine Call (2 blocks)

  • Average of every five days
  • Short call: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Long call: 3 p.m. – 9 p.m. (round on patients starting at 7 a.m.)

ICU Call (1 block)

  • Average of every 4-5 days
  • Short call: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.; Long call: 7 p.m. – 11 a.m.

PGY2/PGY3

Family Medicine Call

  • 24-hour shift (7 a.m. – 7 a.m.)
  • Average two calls per month PGY2 and one call per month as PGY3
  • Work as FM Call team with PGY1 and admit peds, OB, and adult patients

Jeopardy (Back-Up) Call (PGY2 and PGY3)

  • One week of call at a time for total of five weeks/year
  • Serve as back-up to PGY2/3 on call in case of illness, etc.

Ward Medicine Call (2 blocks as PGY2)

  • Average of every five days
  • Short call: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.; Long call: 3 p.m. – 7 a.m. (round on patients starting at 7 a.m. and leave by 11 a.m. the next day for a total of 28 hours)
