Hoosier Health Series: Can COVID-19 Attack Your Heart? How to Stay Safe During Pandemic
People with even mild heart issues are at higher risk for complications from COVID-19. Subha V. Raman, MD, IU Health cardiologist and chief of cardiology at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM), and Daniel J. Beckman, MD, IU Health cardiothoracic surgeon and professor of clinical surgery at IUSM, will discuss how to protect your heart during the pandemic.
Dr. Raman and Dr. Beckman have advice for heart patients as well as for anyone concerned about cardiovascular health. They will share ideas for extra precautions as well as how to identify common symptoms that can signal heart problems, and new ways to diagnose and treat heart disease. They will also take questions from attendees.
Hosted by Ashley Strickland, IU Health Foundation major gifts officer.
