IU Health Addiction Treatment & Recovery Center
Hours
At IU Health West Hospital , we offer full services for you or loved one for addiction treatment and recovery.
We help adults (18 and older) with a structured therapy program. This outpatient program allows you to go to school, work and remain connected to your support system.
Our Approach to Addiction Treatment & Recovery
Our goal is to help you break the cycle of addiction. We will support you or your loved one in developing the tools needed to build a satisfying life.
Our goal goes beyond just abstinence from your substance use disorder. We want to improve the patient and family’s quality of life in every domain. This includes work, school and personal relationships.
Once you are enrolled in the program patients engage in a variety of services that may include group therapy, individual therapy, education, recovery coaching and skills training. All of these services are available on-site or can be offered virtually.
Your clinician will partner with you to help reach your therapy goals. Whether it is getting back to work, rebuilding relationships or improving overall quality of life, your counselor can help to walk alongside you in your process of healing.
Therapy Services
You will partner with your clinician to determine the appropriate level of care. Patients may attend individual therapy on a weekly or monthly basis or enroll in our Intensive Outpatient Treatment program (IOT).
Our IOT program consists of a minimum of 12 hours of services Monday-Friday for approximately 6 weeks. Patients are offered a clinical treatment team, including therapists, recovery coaches and medical staff. Aftercare is available for patients on an ongoing basis, even after program completion.
Medical Support
In addition to therapeutic care, our team offers medical services to support your recovery. We believe in whole person wellness: in order to heal we must treat the mind, body and spirit.
Hands-On Care
You will meet your medical support team upon enrollment with clinical services. Here at the IU Health West Addiction Treatment & Recovery Center, we take a whole-person approach.
During active addiction, many patients find themselves experiencing new, worsening, or unaddressed health concerns. With a full history, general lab work, and referrals to the appropriate providers and specialists, our team of caregivers work to ensure that a patient meets all of their basic needs while in the program.
Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) refers to the use of medications, in combination with counseling and other behavioral services, for the treatment of substance use disorders.
Here at IU Health, we can offer the support of these medications to as an adjunct to your recovery process during your engagement with our therapeutic services.
