- Bedside/outpatient swallowing evaluation
- Modified barium swallow studies

We always want you to have a comfortable experience so from the moment you step into our office, we will provide you with that comfortable experience. During a normal appointment, our care team will do the following:
- Check your vitals
- Discuss any concerns you may have
- Help you navigate any specialty care
- Provide the necessary medical support
- Review your medical and family history
Insurance
IU Health does accept most insurance plans, but we always advise you to verify your benefits and eligibility with your insurance provider before your visit.
Preparing for your first visit
We have some helpful suggestions to read over before coming to your first visit:
- Bring any post-operative instructions if you’ve recently had surgery.
- Bring insurance card(s) and identification.
- Bring a list of current medications, including over-the-counter medicines.
- Wear comfortable, loose, clothing that you can move around in and allows access to injury or surgical site, if applicable.
- Arrive 30 minutes early to complete any outstanding paperwork.
In case your provider is not an IU Health provider, also please:
- Have your provider send medical records to us before your scheduled visit or bring the information with you during your visit. These may be sent via fax or through the mail.
- If you’ve had any imaging procedures such as X-ray, CT or MRI, be sure to bring reports or films with you. You may also have them sent to us by your provider.
