IU Health Arnett has been a member of the Lafayette community since 1922 when it existed as Arnett-Crockett clinic, one of the first multi-specialty clinics in the nation.

Since then IU Health Arnett has grown to include over 40 specialties, 23 outpatient clinics and a 191-bed hospital.

Your Visit

Patients may be dropped off or picked up at the main entrance of the hospital or as directed on the pre-visit information from your doctor’s office.

Parking at IU Health Arnett Hospital is free, with parking lots and entrances conveniently located to help patients and visitors quickly access their destination.

Our IU Health Arnett team members at the Welcome Center will be happy to help you and answer any questions. We also have wheelchairs available for your use if you need them.

For the healing, comfort and safety of all patients, IU Health Arnett Hospital has regular visiting hours from 6 am to 10 pm, daily.

  • Family/visitor presence during regular visiting hours is limited to two people per patient in Critical Care and four people per patient in private rooms.
  • Overhead announcements will be made as visiting hours come to an end each day. Visitors will be asked to leave until visiting hours resume the next day.
  • Patients may name up to two people—family, friends or others—to serve as personal "primary support" during their hospital stay. They may request after-hours visitation with approval from the care team. Identification stickers are required to remain in the hospital after hours.

Can children visit?

Children younger than 18 are welcome during regular visiting hours, but they must be accompanied by an adult who is not a patient; seasonal restrictions may apply for patient safety.

If someone is sick, can they visit?

For your protection, people should not visit if they are sick, especially if they have a sore throat, cold or fever.

Is smoking allowed?

All IU Health facilities are smoke-free. For the safety of everyone, smoking is not allowed in any IU Health building or on the grounds.

What is the IU Health alcohol and drug policy?

All IU Health facilities are alcohol and drug-free.

What is the IU Health firearm policy?

It is the policy of IU Health that no one, other than IU Health Security Officers or on-duty Law Enforcement Officers, carry or have in their possession a firearm or weapon while in a IU Health facility. Law enforcement officers should check in with IU Health Security if they plan to carry on premises.

Car Seat Safety Inspections

Parents and caregivers can call the permanent fitting station at IU Health Arnett Hospital at 765.838.4670 to schedule a free appointment to have their car seat installation checked by a certified technician.

Radiology & Imaging

IU Health Arnett Radiology takes care of all your Radiology & Imaging needs. Whether you need a basic knee X-ray or a complicated brain MRI, our team of specialized radiologists has been trained solely to interpret imaging scans.

Pharmacy

IU Health Arnett Retail Pharmacy offers the ease of “one-stop” shopping. With services designed to meet your needs, we provide expert care and help patients make the best use of their medications. IU Health's pharmacies are here for you to meet all your needs.

Wheelchairs

Our team of guest relations representatives and hospital volunteers will be happy to get you a wheelchair when you arrive at the hospital. Please ask any of our team members for assistance or visit the Welcome Center.

We know that good nutrition helps heal the body, so there are a variety of dining options available for patients, families and guests at IU Health Arnett Hospital.

The Banyan Café

Daily soups, salads, sandwiches, pizza, grilled items and hot entrées. Located on the Garden level of the hospital.

Banyan Brew & Bistro

The Banyan Brew & Bistro serves Starbucks excellent selection of coffee, teas, cappuccino, espresso and a variety of specialty drinks. In addition BB&B offers a regularly changing menu of delicious sandwiches, fresh salads, soups, healthy “grab and go” snacks and assorted bottled beverages.

Banyan Brew & Bistro is open 7 days a week from 5:30 am – 10:30 pm.

Room Service

With IU Health Arnett Hospital’s room service, you can choose what and when you want to eat daily. You may order meals from a menu that includes many delicious and healthy choices, all freshly prepared by IU Health Arnett chefs.

Similar to hotel room service, you choose from a menu and then call 765.838.5050 (in room extension 85050). An operator will place the order and confirm any diet restrictions. If your doctor changes your diet needs, the operator can check this information via the computer. Then, your meal is delivered directly to you—usually within one hour of the order.

Family members and guests may also order a meal to be delivered with a patient’s meal. Cash and major credit cards are accepted for family and guest meals.

The IU Health Arnett Hospital gift shop offers unique gifts for all ages. The gift shop provides a full selection of magazines, gifts, cards, flowers and snacks.

Family members or friends who would like to send a gift can call 765.838.5013 or 800.899.8448 (toll free). Our IU Health Arnett team members can help select the right gift, include a personal note and have it delivered for free anywhere in the hospital. MasterCard, Discover and Visa are accepted.

Deliveries

Flowers and gifts may be delivered to the Welcome Desk at the main entrance of IU Health Arnett Hospital. Volunteers deliver these items on weekdays to patient rooms. Latex deliveries will not be accepted.

Deliveries for Non-Disclosure Patients

Some patients choose to keep their stay in the hospital private. If you have asked us to not tell anyone that you are here by registering as a “non-disclosure” or “no information” patient, our team cannot say that you are a patient at the hospital. However, if a florist has your hospital room number, we can accept flower deliveries and bring them to your room.
