A pediatrician for more than 15 years, Dr. Szczepaniak chose this field to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. She is an advocate for preventive care and healthy habits and is always working to support families in their efforts to make sure their children grow and develop into healthy adults. In addition to primary care, Dr. Szczepaniak is interested in behavioral pediatrics and treating acute and chronic conditions. She also is involved in community advocacy, especially in schools. Dr. Szczepaniak enjoys gardening, skiing and spending time with her family, which includes her husband, a physics professor at Indiana University, and their son.
