Dr. Maya E. Guglin’s clinical expertise is heart failure and heart transplant. She practices cardiology at IU Health Methodist Hospital.

Dr. Guglin is the medical director of the IU Health Heart Transplant Program, Advanced Heart Failure Program and Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) Services, which includes Ventricular Assist Devices (VAD). She is Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure. She is a Professor of clinical medicine in the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Her research focuses on cardiovascular hemodynamics, cardio-oncology, and mechanical circulatory support. She serves on national committees including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Council of Advanced Heart Failure and Transplantation.
