Biography
Dr. Holec became a physician because she enjoys the life-long learning and investigative problem-solving that come along with the partnerships she creates with her patients. With over 30 years of experience listening to, understanding and analyzing medical needs, Holec-Iwasko has developed a robust skillset in tailoring patients’ care to suit their own personal philosophies. She is also trained in functional alternative medicine and enjoys treating nutritional deficiencies, food insensitivities, gut health and hormone imbalances.
Holec earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kirksville College of Medicine in Missouri and completed her residency at the Detroit Osteopathic Hospital in Michigan. She is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.
Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, traveling, cooking/baking, horseback riding, music and reading.
