IU Health was recently named one of the Top Hospitals and Health Systems of 2018 by DiversityInc, recognizing the hospital’s efforts toward diversity and inclusion.
IU Health is the first health system in Indiana to receive the award from DiversityInc. Being recognized as one of the Top Hospitals means IU Health excels in areas of hiring, retaining and promoting women, minorities, people with disabilities, LGBTQ and veterans.
IU Health Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer Orson Mason accepted the award on behalf of IU Health at the May 1 DiversityInc. annual dinner in New York City.
“IU Health is proud to be recognized for our ongoing commitment to diversity and inclusion, says Mason. “Diversity is a journey, not a destination, and we still have work to do. This honor would not be possible without the dedication of our team members across the state, who are helping build a more open, welcoming community for every patient and family member who comes to us for care.”
