To You, Our Valued Patients:
After many challenging weeks, early May brings an opportunity to share some encouraging updates. The number of COVID-19 cases is now relatively stable in Indiana, and the rate of new infections is decreasing. Our state and local officials have laid out plans to ease stay-in-place restrictions and reopen businesses. I am happy to add that, as of this week, many of our IU Health Primary Care offices are now open as well. This means more of our patients are again able to access non-emergency care through in-person visits close to home, virtual visits, and through our urgent care locations.
Yet, we understand that you may be nervous about coming into our doctors’ offices and facilities. You’ve shared concerns about being exposed to people and spaces that could be infected. To protect you and our hard-working team, we are taking thoughtful, careful steps at every IU Health location to ensure everyone’s safety. Your safety, and the safety of our teams, is our top priority.
Q: How is IU Health going to keep me safe if I come in for an appointment?
A: Our providers and their teams remain vigilant about protecting our patients from the risks associated with coronavirus. Here is what you can expect if you come in for an appointment:
Q: Is my doctor’s office open?
A: The majority of our IU Health Primary Care offices are open or will be soon. We understand how important it is that you receive the highest quality of care while also feeling safe. At each Primary Care location, we are following every necessary protocol for safely reopening.
