Our skill and expertise allows us to accurately diagnose debilitating joint pain, as well as develop a care plan that fits your individual needs. This process, which brings together an integrated team of experts, enables us to properly evaluate your condition, prepare you mentally and physically for a procedure and then monitor and manage your entire pre- and post-surgical process, if necessary. This concept returns you to your maximum function quickly and safely.

The Orthopedics & Sports Medicine specialists at IU Health West Hospital recognize that rehabilitation is more than applying a brace or using a therapy technique. Our rehabilitation services include a comprehensive program designed to eliminate the effects of your injury or musculoskeletal problem—and help prevent the problem from returning.
We employ a variety of techniques designed to restore normal strength, motion and flexibility and to reduce pain. Our therapists' goal is to achieve optimal function for every patient, and they understand that the relationship they build with each individual patient is important. That is why you will work with the same one to two therapists throughout the course of your treatment.
The physical therapy team includes therapists who specialize in wound care and sports performance, in addition to providing excellent care for patients pre- and post-surgery, or post-injury.
