At Indiana University Health Urgent Care, it’s easy to get in. Feel better faster with a hassle-free way to receive quality care and get on with living a healthy life. IU Health Urgent Care Centers, available in the greater Indianapolis area, as well as Indiana University Health Bloomington and Indiana University Health Arnett locations, provide convenient medical care immediately. We are open seven days a week, including holidays, with no appointment required.

Please note, at this time this online bill payment link is only available for the IU Health Urgent Care locations in the greater Indianapolis area. If you are a patient from another Indiana location, additional information can be found at Bloomington Urgent Care or Arnett Urgent Care location sites.

Urgent Care or Emergency Department?

Visit an Urgent Care Center when you need immediate attention and cannot get an appointment with your primary care physician or for any non-life-threatening emergency. If your medical condition is life threatening, go to a nearby emergency room or call 911.

Some examples of urgent care include:

  • Minor cuts or burns
  • Ear, nose and throat infections
  • Sprains or strains
  • Stomach aches
  • Headaches or dizziness

An emergency is an accident or sudden unexpected illness that needs to be treated right away or it could result in loss of life, serious medical complications or permanent disability.

Examples of emergency medical conditions include:

  • Heart attack, severe chest pain or sudden/extreme difficulty breathing
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Heavy bleeding that does not stop
  • Major burns
  • Seizures
  • Severe abdominal pain
  • Stroke, sudden paralysis or slurred speech
  • Poisoning or suspected poisoning
  • Severe head trauma
  • Visibly broken bones

Urgent Care Services

When you need healthcare during your busy day, even at night or on weekends and holidays when your doctor's office is closed, you can turn to IU Health Urgent Care Centers. We provide treatment for most minor injuries, illnesses and conditions. On-site lab and X-ray services are also available. We accept most insurance plans, cash, checks, Visa and MasterCard.

We provide treatment for any non-life threatening injuries and illnesses, including:

  • Common cold
  • Fractures
  • Sprains or strains
  • Strep and sore throat
  • Earache
  • Upper respiratory infections (including common cold, influenza, pharyngitis/tonsillitis and sinusitis)
  • Headaches
  • Abdominal pain or stomach aches
  • Cuts, scrapes, bites
  • Allergic reactions
  • Urinary tract infections
  • STD testing
  • Sports physicals
