It's a helpful alternative that works with your busy schedule to provide you and your family convenient access to providers any time day or night, without having to go to a provider's office.

We offer on-demand visits to help you with many common conditions. A number of our IU Health providers also offer scheduled visits through Virtual Visits.

IU Health Virtual Visits are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Our on-demand visits are secure and confidential and typically last about 10 minutes. They are $49 or less depending on your insurance.

You can use an on-demand virtual visit for many common conditions, such as:

  • Bronchitis, cold, cough, congestion, fever, flu and other sinus symptoms
  • Diarrhea, heartburn, nausea and vomiting
  • Cuts, scrapes, sprains, bruises, burns and insect bites
  • Hives, pink eye and rash
  • Infections, including bladder, yeast or urinary tract infection

We also treat conditions such as acne, allergies, asthma, athlete's foot and back pain.

IU Health On-Demand Virtual Visits makes taking care of you and your family easy with three simple steps:

  1. Download the free IU Health Virtual Visits app (Google Play or iTunes) or enroll on your computer.
  2. Enroll by creating a free login and completing your personal profile.
  3. Connect with a highly skilled provider and get you and your family healthy and well.

Typically visits with our providers will last about 10 minutes. Our experts will review your history and answer questions. A few minutes later you’ll have a diagnosis and instructions for treatment.

Be sure to allow access to your camera and microphone if you are using the app. If you are connecting via desktop, be sure to test your computer settings.

Scheduled Visits

IU Health providers also offer scheduled appointments through IU Health Virtual Visits.

You can avoid traffic, long commutes and adverse weather while minimizing time away from work and unnecessary exposure to other patients.

If you are interested in scheduled Virtual Visits, you should have a conversation with your provider about the types of appointments she or he feels would be appropriate for your care and to meet your needs. Scheduled visits are billed in accordance with your type of visit.
