Standard Charge Listing
Indiana University Health (IU Health) is committed to helping patients understand their out-of-pocket cost to support patients in making informed decisions about their care. As part of our commitment to health care price transparency, IU Health offers a Self-Service Price Estimate Tool for patients to estimate their out-of-pocket cost for over 700 common medical services. Patients may also request a price estimate through the My IU Health Patient Portal or by calling 317.963.2541 (toll-free 833.722.6050) or emailing estimates@iuhealth.org.
IU Health also provides a comprehensive, machine-readable file of Standard Charges for each of its facilities in compliance with federal regulation. The information and format of the Standard Charges files will be most directly useful to employers and tool developers. Patients wanting to understand their expected out-of-pocket cost are encouraged to utilize the price estimates tools listed above.
Standard Charges files are large, and an application designed to handle large data files is recommended to access this information (e.g., Notepad++). These files were first published on January 1, 2021, and were last updated on February 8, 2024.
