IU Health Arnett Hospital is home to a designated Riley Hospital for Children at IU Health Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Our board certified neonatologists provide care to all infants, including critically ill or premature babies. The IU Health Arnett Hospital NICU is staffed 24 hours a day by an on-site neonatal provider.
Our specially trained NICU team includes experienced neonatologists, neonatal nurse practitioners, NICU-trained registered nurses and respiratory therapists. All NICU providers are trained in neonatal resuscitation and have a strong focus on developmental care of critically ill and premature infants. You are encouraged to stay with your new baby in your own private room, where you receive support and care from our dedicated staff.

You can dial directly into voicemail and leave the information for your child’s prescription refills without waiting to speak to a nurse. Please allow 48 hours for refills. You will need to provide a photo ID and pick-up the prescription from the provider’s office.

Well-child visits are recommended to help prevent and identify serious health conditions and to ensure the healthy development of your child. During your child’s well-child visit, the physician may take measurements, offer immunizations, complete behavior assessments or evaluate for developmental milestones.
Riley Physicians at IU Health Arnett follow the preventative pediatric healthcare guidelines established by the American Academy of Pediatrics, which recommends well-child checks at the following ages: newborn, 3 to 5 days, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, 12 months, 15 months, 18 months, 24 months and 30 months.
After 30 months of age, well-child visits are recommended every year until 21 years of age.
