Arnett Hospital Outside

IU Health Arnett Hospital

Indiana University Health Arnett has been a member of the Lafayette community since 1922 when it existed as Arnett-Crockett clinic, one of the first multispecialty clinics in the nation. Since then IU Health has grown to include over 40 specialties, 23 outpatient clinics and a 191 bed hospital.

You can be assured that we will do our very best to exceed your expectations.

InformationSlice

Parking Instructions

Patients may be dropped off or picked up at the main entrance of the hospital or as directed on the pre-visit information from your doctor’s office.

Parking at IU Health Arnett Hospital is free, with parking lots and entrances conveniently located to help patients and visitors quickly access their destination.

Our IU Health Arnett team members at the Welcome Center will be happy to help you and answer any questions. We also have wheelchairs available for your use if you need them.

Visitor Information

Our healthcare team understands that having family and friends around is important to your healing process; therefore we have an open visitation policy, allowing visitors 24-hours a day. We encourage visitors to spend as much time in the room with your loved one as you deem beneficial, including overnight stays. To respect the individual needs of all patients, a hospital-wide quiet time begins at 8 pm.

On most floors, family retreats are available for family members to sit, reflect and relax while not at the bedside of their loved one. These retreats were specially designed with family in mind and are semi-private, meaning that only those people with access to patient rooms will have access to this retreat.

Can children visit?

In general, it is a good idea to check with a guest relations team member before bringing a child as a visitor. Children younger than 14 years must be accompanied by an adult other than the patient at all times. Some units may require health screens or have other limitations on children visiting.

If someone is sick, can they visit?

For your protection, people should not visit if they are sick, especially if they have a sore throat, cold or fever.

Is smoking allowed?

All IU Health facilities are smoke-free. For the safety of everyone, smoking is not allowed in any IU Health building or on the grounds.

What is the IU Health alcohol and drug policy?

All IU Health facilities are alcohol and drug-free.

What is the IU Health firearm policy?

It is the policy of Indiana University Health that no one, other than IU Health Security Officers or on-duty Law Enforcement Officers, carry or have in their possession a firearm or weapon while in a IU Health facility. Law enforcement officers should check in with IU Health Security if they plan to carry on premises.

Tell Us About Your Experience

Listening to our patients and their families helps us understand the experiences they have within our facilities and allows us to make decisions that serve them better. We encourage patients and their families to take a moment to provide feedback and suggestions for how we could improve our service.

Car Seat Safety Inspections

Motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death among children under age fourteen in the United States. This sobering statistic reminds us that even if you’re a careful driver, you can’t eliminate the possibility of an auto accident. An age- and weight-appropriate child safety seat is a crucial step to keeping your child safe in the car. Statistics show that at least four out of five car seats are used incorrectly.

Parents and caregivers can call the permanent fitting station at Indiana University Health Arnett Hospital at 765.838.4670 to schedule an appointment to have their car seat installation checked by a certified technician FREE-OF-CHARGE.

What to bring to your inspection:

  • Your child’s car seat
  • Owner’s manual for the seat
  • Primary vehicle in which the car seat is used
  • Owner’s manual for the car
  • Child to whom the seat belongs
