Hamilton County Area

Fresh Fit Hamilton County Hero

The program begins Monday, Feb. 24, 2020.

Mandatory kickoff classes will be Thursday, Feb. 20 and Sunday, Feb. 23 (participants will be required to attend only one class).

The Fitness

For those who live in the Hamilton County area, fitness classes will be held five days per week (Monday – Friday only) at the Max Challenge of Fishers (11680 Commercial Drive). Class times available to participants are 6 am, 7 am, 9:45 am, 12 pm, 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. All classes last approximately 45 minutes. The fitness program incorporates cardiovascular exercise, kickboxing and strength training so that you can burn fat and increase strength at the same time. While the classes are designed for people of all fitness levels, they do increase in intensity over the 10-week period and may not be the right fit for everyone. Modifications to increase or decrease intensity are always provided by the trainers and are completely acceptable.

You will be expected to attend class four to five days per week throughout the program unless you have a preplanned trip or other unavoidable situation that prevents you from being in attendance. No more than one full week (5 consecutive days) can be missed during the program.

The Nutrition

The nutrition plan is based around three keys to nutritional success: the right foods, the right portions and the right timing. All of the foods can be found in your local supermarket, and there are no shakes or special meals to purchase. Nutritional guidance will be provided throughout the program.

Health Screenings

You will be required to participate in three free health screenings throughout the program. The screenings will be conducted via a finger stick and will measure cholesterol (glucose and lipid panels) and A1C. We will also take weight and blood pressure measurements at each screening event.

Health screenings will take place during the following weeks: Feb. 17, March 30 and May 5. The screenings will be held in the early morning hours in the main lobby at IU Health Saxony Hospital.
