IU Health Privileging and Credentialing
The Indiana University Health application for privileges and credentialing processes are used to ensure that healthcare practitioners meet all of the necessary requirements and are appropriately qualified for IU Health membership.
Investigation into a physician's practice, training, skill level and capacity are conducted along with background checks to ensure legitimacy. Features such as education, internship, residency and fellowship are verified. Board Certifications and State Medical License(s) are explored, along with the practitioners' professional references, liability claims history, privileges, associated memberships and status with the Department of Health and Human Services.
Through proper management of the privileging and credentialing processes, our team is dedicated to assist in the IU Health mission to improve the health of our patients and community through innovation and excellence in care, education, research and service.
