The IU Health LifeLine Paramedic Program is a 12-month course with a flexible schedule to attend class via face to face and virtual class time.
The paramedic program includes didactic theory, application, demonstration, clinical performance, team learning and immersion into multiple clinical experiences at academic and community facilities.
We will prepare you to be a well-rounded paramedic provider, leader and resource on your healthcare team. Our program is designed around specific specialty practice to expand your critical thinking skills in the care of the community.
The program is for certified EMTs. Cohorts will start twice a year – January and August.

This letter is NOT a CAAHEP accreditation status, it is a status signifying that a program seeking initial accreditation has demonstrated sufficient compliance with the accreditation standards through the Letter of Review Self Study Report (LSSR) and other documentation. Letter of Review is recognized by the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) for eligibility to take the NREMT's Paramedic credentialing examination(s). However, it is NOT a guarantee of eventual accreditation.

IU Health LifeLine is Indiana’s most comprehensive transport team. We provide Critical Care, Air and Ground and ALS/BLS teams to service patient needs. We reach north central Indiana to south central Indiana and from eastern Illinois to western Ohio.

- Must have a current CPR card for healthcare provider
- Anatomy & Physiology (either college level or LifeLine’s A&P program).
- Competency in college-level algebra, English composition (proof of grades) or have taken LifeLine General Aptitude Examination.
