In partnership with the IU School of Medicine, IU School of Public Health and Purdue University, IU Health has averaged approximately 275 new interventional clinical trial starts per year—nearly one every workday—and consistently maintains more than 1,000 active trials at any given time. IU Health researchers also contributed to the evidence supporting nine FDA product approvals in 2025, including both drugs and devices, underscoring the system’s significant role in advancing patient care and scientific innovation.
