How can I get an estimate of the cost of my care?

IU Health aims to provide meaningful and helpful information to support you in making informed decisions regarding your care. The Price Estimates service provides patient-friendly, individualized estimates for your IU Health care and services. We can estimate your expected out-of-pocket costs before care is received. You can get an estimate in one of three ways:

Who should I talk to about healthcare coverage options?


Find yourself uninsured or underinsured? We have Indiana Certified Navigators available for you, free of charge. These team members are trained to provide one-on-one assistance in reviewing your personalized situation, determine what options you may qualify and help you apply for it. Below are some of the programs we can help with.

  • The Healthy Indiana Plan (HIP) for low income adults 19 – 64 years old
  • Hoosier Healthwise (HHW) for children under age 19, pregnant women and low-income families
  • Medicaid programs for the aged, blind and disabled
  • The Federal Insurance Marketplace on Healthcare.gov
  • COBRA for the recently unemployed
  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  • IU Health Financial Assistance
