Free Group Diabetes Education
Classes are available at IU Health White Memorial every other month (even months of the year, the first two Thursdays of the month from 9 a.m. to noon). This class is a two-part series. Participants must attend both classes, in sequence. Each class lasts about 3 hours and covers the basics of diabetes self-management. Content is specifically designed to support patients newly diagnosed with prediabetes, type 1, or type 2 diabetes; however, patients who have been previously diagnosed with type 1 or type 2 diabetes may also benefit from this class. Individuals who complete the class are eligible to schedule a (billable) one-on-one follow up visit with an IU Health Registered Dietitian.
