Relief through all stages of your sleep journey. From affordable sleep apnea screening options to treatment and ongoing care, all from the comfort of home.
When you’re tossing and turning with questions, IU Health is available to provide the answers you need to get back to living a full and energized life.
Sleep apnea screening is $59 self-pay, or can be billed through insurance. The screening can be completed from 8 am to 8 pm any day of the week from your phone or computer.
Three simple steps to better sleep:
Screening
Complete a virtual screening in about 10 minutes from anywhere throughout Indiana from 8 am to 8 pm for $59 self-pay, or can be billed through insurance.
Testing & Diagnosis
For those that qualify, a home sleep test will be shipped to your home. You'll take the test overnight and upload results online for interpretation and have the option to complete a virtual visit with a Sleep Medicine provider to review your results and a care plan. Most patients will not have to ship the device back but some may need to.
Treatment
If recommended, a sleep therapy device (such as a CPAP or Bilevel-PAP) will be shipped to your home and you can complete the setup education virtually or through video recordings. The team is available for ongoing support and resupply.
You can complete your entire sleep medicine journey, from screening through treatment, from the comfort and convenience of your home.
Through virtual visits and medical equipment that is shipped straight to your home, we meet you where you are with personalized resources and support to achieve your sleep goals.
It is important to treat sleep apnea as it can cause short-term effects like headaches and fatigue but, if left untreated, it can lead to serious long-term health effects including high blood pressure, stroke, heart disease and increased risk of accidents.

What should I expect from my virtual visit?
After you are connected with a provider, they will review your medical history and ask you a series of questions to determine if you are at-risk for sleep apnea. If you are, the provider will write a prescription for a sleep study. The sleep study is billed separately. If you would like the study submitted through insurance, we will work to get approval from your insurance company.
The Sleep Medicine team will contact you and coordinate next steps regarding your sleep test. If you qualify, the team will coordinate a time to ship a home sleep test to you and review the process for testing and diagnosis. Specific instructions will be included and the team will also reach out to you to go over the instructions for the sleep test. If you do not qualify, due to insurance requirements or health conditions, the team will coordinate alternative options. Once the study is completed, you will schedule a consult to review the results.
